Richard Pursel, an Emmy-nominated writer for SpongeBob SquarePants, has been announced as the showrunner for Keenspot's upcoming animated series, Kung Fu Legume. The show is based on the popular kids' comic book series by Michael Adams, which follows the story of a sentient bean who gains martial arts skills after being struck by lightning in space. Together with a young girl genius and her robot grandfather, the bean sets out on a mission to save the multiverse.
